Oh my word, I loved this book. I was OBSESSED with the Solsti Prophecy books and devoured them, this book is a spin-off of that series. I would say it could definitely be a stand alone novel, but you'd do yourself a disservice if you don't read the Solsti Prophecy books beforehand.Anyway, we have Arawyn--Badass leader of the Lash Demons (basically super elite, fire wielding, mercenary skilled good guys). He, against his wishes, has fallen for one of his warriors--Ria.
Ria is equally Badass and knows Arawn comes with some heavy emotional baggage, but she wants to get under his icy exterior.
Meanwhile, Arawn, Ria and the other Lash Demons have to curtail a band of merciless bad guys who are after a weapon that could potentially kill hundreds of thousands of people.
Sparks ensue, steamy scenes between protagonists follow, and an abundance of mystery/action/ and fighting isn't far behind in this awesome book.
I liked how Ria could hold her own--she is definitely a warrior with a backbone and an innate ability to slip past Arawyn's emotional defenses.
If you like strong heroines, awesome paranormal plots, action, and super steamy/sensual relationships, get the damn book. You won't regret it. Happy reading :)

I love all of the books in this series and wish there were more of them. Great story, excellent character development, and you don't have to read the other books in the series to understand this. However I recommend reading the whole series as it is excellent!
Wow!! This book is great. Very action packed with so much romance. There is also a variety of emotions the reader will feel. Definitely recommend this.
I have read the Solisti series, and absolutely loved it.
I know without a doubt that this series would be any different.
Sharon Kay, can write a book that keeps you on your toes and wanting to finish the book in hours.
I would recommend this author to anyone wanting an adventurous read and the best imitate senses I've read out of 200 books.

Strong characters.
I do recommend reading the first series before this book. Most of the characters have been featured in the previous series. I expect the new characters will get their own stories.
This new series goes on with some characters from the Solti books, and those were so good I read all of them plus the novella straight through. I wasn't ready to leave the realms behind and each one gives me the desire to immediately get the next one! Fantastic writer!
This is a great start to a new series. I have enjoyed reading each and every book that Sharon has written and have always wanted more at the end of each story. There are so many characters that I would love to read about. If you’re a Black Dagger Brotherhood fan you will love Sharon Kay’s books.
I'm so glad Sharon Kay decided to continue this Watcher world after the Solsti prophecy. All these characters are so fun to read and stay up to date with. And as always, the romance is HOT. Ria is a perfect mix of kick-ass and "feminine". And I really enjoyed Arawn's journey as he falls for Ria. Love this series.
